Punta Mita was a fishermen´s village for many years, until it was discovered as a great place to surf, featuring an extensive beach and great waves. Punta De Mita (Punta Mita for short) is a relatively new resort area 30 minutes outside of Puerto Vallarta. Real estate sales are booming. Experts predict a 50 percent gain on 2004's record figures. The Four Seasons Private Villas – offered to you by Villas Caribe - sold out its first phase. Prices ranged from $1.8 - 4.5 million USD for the 15 hillside villas and the three elite oceanfront properties.
Buyers also snapped up the first two phases of the La Punta sites on the ocean, priced between $2.6 - 3.1 million USD. Other neighborhoods of oceanfront home sites sold out, including the 20 Ranchos estate lots, and the 4 Signature Estates that feature views to the famed 3B island hole of the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course. Lagos del Mar has just two lots still available, among the 32 clustered around the golf course.
Developer DINE just established a new company, concentrating on residential services. Owners can enjoy property management, rental services and a residential concierge. Soon a second golf course also bearing the Jack Nicklaus signature will begin construction (look forward to tee-times in mid-2007).
